The beautiful Majorelle Gardens of Marrakech

The gardens were designed by a French artist, Jacques Majorelles after purchasing the land in 1924.
The gardens were first opened to the public in 1947.
In 1980 Yves St Laurent and Pierre Bergé acquired the gardens and restored them.
They are held in trust to ensure they survive and are one of the most popular attractions in Marrakech.

Memorial to Yves St Laurent
After his death his ashes were scattered in the gardens and this memorial was erected.

  1. Nature colors + blue + yellow + green = powerful art! Loved the shot of the water! Great job, Celia! Thank you!

  2. Thank you so much Fabio. I just loved the vibrant colours of this garden. The reflections in the water made me think of Deb and her beautiful ethereal photography.
